Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd have paid emotional tributes to their late grandfather.

The pair were left "absolutely heartbroken" this week following the death of their granddad on Wednesday (10.03.21) following a long battle with cancer, and former 'The Only Way is Essex' stars both admitted they found "comfort" in Mick being reunited with their late nanny Wendy, who died six weeks earlier.
Sam wrote on Instagram: "Our Grandad Mick. last night you was reunited with your queen, our Nanny Wendy. Exactly 6 weeks without her by your side.
We love you soo much Grandad. We’ve all had the best times together over the years, I’m so grateful I had you in my life. You was life and soul of every party, kind, caring, the best grandad in the world. You always had time for us no matter what, you loved us all unconditionally I’ll miss you and nanny like you can’t believe, it just doesn’t feel real that you’re both not here anymore. I don’t think it’s actually sunk in yet. You will both always be in my thoughts and prayers forever. I find so much comfort knowing that you’re back with your Wendy Woo. See you in heaven Grandad.. ps make sure you get the pie & mash in (sic)"

You are the best grandad I could ever wish for, kind, caring, funny, loving, life and soul, unforgettable, A True Legend. I can only find comfort that you feel no more pain and that you are now in heaven with our beautiful nanny Wendy. I thank you and nanny for teaching and encouraging me to always live life to the full! And to love life ! Just like you and nanny always did.
Trying to imagine life without you both feels impossible, but I know you will be together in heaven with a glass of vina sol and a Pina colada watching down on on us and guiding us

In January, Billie pulled out of a 'Dancing on Ice' performance following the death of her nanny, Wendy, and she and Sam were left "completely devastated" at the loss of their gran.
