The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star was diagnosed with the chronic inflammatory disease in early 2014 while she was competing on 'Celebrity Big Brother' but she has finally managed to stabilise the condition with a healthy diet.

Speaking to NOW magazine, she said: "I can't speak for everyone but in terms of my own experience, when I started feeling myself again I weaned myself off the medication I was on and had a balanced diet and lifestyle.

"I'd take vitamins and minerals for my digestive system, so that's how I got myself better. I used to be on a drug called azathioprine [an immune suppressant] and I felt well and happy and I got to a stage where I thought, 'Now I'm going to try and do this myself with vitamins and minerals because I'm young and I don't want to be on medication for ever.' "

The 25-year-old reality TV star also believes her partner Paul Knightley, with whom she has four-month-old son Paul, has helped a lot because he's into his health and fitness.

She explained: "Paul's really into anything that's homeopathic and herbal. He studied it for years. We have a joke sometimes and I call him Dr. Paul because he knows about everything. He's the one who introduced me to the vitamins and minerals. He researched it to make sure I'd be getting everything I needed."
