The 29-year-old star - who is the son of Shane Richie and Coleen Nolan - has made several appearances alongside his mother on 'Loose Women' over the past year or so and has even landed his own presenting segment on the lunch time chat show.

But it looks like his portfolio is set to get even bigger next year as he's been approached by bosses of the Channel 4 soap about working on the show.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Shane said: "I know there's interest from 'Hollyoaks' so I think it's just a case of getting them together and if the character is right then yeah definitely. I'd love to see him do something like 'Hollyoaks' because I think he'd be really great for that show. I think he wants to do presenting as well."

And, although Shane Jr. has clearly been born with some of his father's acting ability, the former 'EastEnders' star's other son Jake Roche has his impressive vocals.

The 25-year-old singer - whose mother is also Coleen - is one fourth of The Rixton and Shane has admitted he always knew Jake would end up working in showbiz.

He explained: "My son Jake has an incredibly voice, absolutely incredible. He was always going to be a performer - I knew from an early age when I was in Greece when he was a year old, when I'd leave the house he'd scream so most of the time I'd end up taking him and sitting him the royal box and he'd sit there and watch the show and then I'd go and get him at the end.

"I talk to him all the time - same with Shane Jr - I think Jake is down in London the week after next and we'll get together. He comes to me for advice - like if he's got to go on tour or certain promos he does, he'll ask if he should do that TV show.

"But he's got his own head now, he's been around the world, he's toured with Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran, he's played the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden and when I play he loves coming to see me and my band play any chance he gets and he's been out with me a couple of times."
