The former 'Hollyoaks' actress was bombarded with gifts, letters and social media messages by 43-year-old Alex Boston and he admitted the allegations against him when he appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday (12.11.21).

A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) spokesperson said: "Between April 2020 and July 2021, Boston stalked Ms Davis by bombarding her with messages via social media, delivering letters and gifts, and loitering outside her home address."

The CPS explained Boston was identified through his Instagram account, as well as his fingerprints on the notes, and more letters intended for the 28-year-old actress - who has four-year-old son Caben with former partner Jeremy McConnell - were found when police searched his house.

Prosecutors have condemned the "harmful practice" of stalking and insisted it isn't something women in the public eye should have to "expect" as part of their jobs.

Ronan Molloy, district crown prosecutor for CPS Mersey Cheshire, said: "Stalking and harassment can take many forms, but the common denominator in all such cases is an unhealthy fixation on an individual by the perpetrator.

"Stalking is a serious offence, one which has a significant impact on the victim.

"The CPS is committed to the prosecution of these offences, working closely with our partners to ensure that victims are supported and protected wherever possible.

"Stalking is not a form of flattery and is not something women in public life should simply have to expect. It is a harmful practice and it will be taken very seriously."

Boston will return to Liverpool Magistrates Court on 22 December, when he will be sentenced for his behaviour.
