A host of stars from the reality series - including Olivia Attwood and Chloe Sims - were set to head out to the Canary Islands to film for the series' upcoming 10th anniversary episode, but they have been forced to change plans following the global outbreak.

A source told The Sun Online: "Everyone's talking about it - the cast members who were due to go have been told it's not happening now and they're rethinking plans.

"The last thing anyone would want is for them to be in danger and they're following travel advice when filming."

Seven people in Tenerife have been diagnosed with the virus.

In previous series specials, the cast have flown out to Marbella, Thailand and Sardinia, but the producers are reportedly now trying to find an alternative location.

But a spokesperson for the ITVBe reality show said: "No decisions have been made on filming locations for the next series."

Former 'TOWIE' star Gemma Collins has also had to change her filming schedule for her own reality show 'Diva Forever', which was due to start shooting in China - where the outbreak began - last month.

An insider previously said: "Gemma's dream was to go to China, she thought about Africa too and even Thailand, but has had to rule loads of countries out now due to coronavirus. It's a huge drama and total chaos.

"Show producers have called emergency meetings to discuss what to do as it's too dangerous to fly out Gemma and the crew.

"They're tearing their hair out over where to go and what to film - the show is called Diva and needs to show off her jet-set fabulous life to the max - but at this rate she could be forced to stay in Essex."
