The 37-year-old actress - who plays Detective Inspector Kate Fleming in the hit BBC One show - would love to work with the famous actresses if she finds herself out of the police drama, after its creator Jed Mercurio has admitted it is "never far" from his thoughts to kill off one of the show's "golden trio".

She said: "I'd love to work with Julie Walters or Kathy Burke. They are pure talent for me and I get such a sense of truth when I watch them. They inspire me. I've been trained in dancing so that's my secret talent. From the 'Line of Duty' TikToks, you wouldn't know, but I can actually pirouette."

But if Vicky was to exit the show, she would miss the camaraderie between her castmates.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she added: "Martin Compston and I are always trying to make each other jump. The annoying thing is he's really good at it, and I'm c***. We have loads of nicknames, but calling each other '29' has stuck since day one. Neil Morrisey [who played DC Nigel Morton] asked me what the time was, and I just said '29' and now it's how we all refer to each other."

Meanwhile, Jed previously insisted "nobody is safe" in the upcoming sixth season.

He said: "It's never far from my thoughts, honestly. I think we all get on brilliantly, but everyone knows that we're serving something bigger than ourselves, which is 'Line of Duty'. One of the things about the show is that nobody is safe. That is what keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. So I know that it would be a sad day, but all the main cast realise that it's possible. You know, we're mates, we talk about it, we joke about it. It's something that no one would relish, but everybody would understand."
