The brunette beauty was presenting 'BBC Breakfast' on Tuesday morning (15.11.16) when she started to have pains shortly after she read figures about EasyJet airlines.

Victoria's co-presenter Sally Nugent, 45, was forced to step in as her birthing partner as the journalist's husband Dan was stuck in a traffic jam on the M6 motorway.

The broadcaster gave birth to an adorable baby boy, who is yet to be named, at St. Mary's Hospital in London shortly afterwards and has thanked the midwives and medical staff for delivering her little bundle of joy.

She wrote on Twitter: "My heartfelt thanks to @sallynugent & St Mary's drs&midwives who helped me deliver my little boy yesterday. A @BBCBreakfast team effort! (sic)"

Victoria's colleague Sally replied saying that she will able to look back on this "incredible" day and laugh about it with her son when he's older.

She said: "It's going to make a brilliant story for his 21st birthday! What an incredible day xx (sic)"

The 'BBC Breakfast' team later shared a picture of the newborn in his mother's arms in a hospital bed.

Alongside the photo, they wrote: "Congratulations @VFritzNews! Victoria should have been our biz presenter today - but instead has some more exciting news to deliver! (sic)"

On Wednesday's (16.11.16) morning news, Naga Munchetty - who was recently voted out of 'Strictly Come Dancing' - had to explain why Victoria was absent.

She said: "There she was, you know, just presenting very happily, not an issue in the world. And then she decided to have a bit of an event later on."

And Naga's co-presenter, Dan Walker added how Sally had to read yesterday's (15.11.16) sport news because of Victoria's husband being stuck on the motorway.

He added: "Sally was reading sport yesterday. Because Victoria's partner was stuck on the M6. Sally was the birthing partner."
