The 44-year-old actor previously played James 'Jambo' Bolton on the Channel 4 soap, and he's admitted to holding talks about the possibility of making a return for the landmark anniversary.

Asked about the possibility of making a comeback, Will told BANG Showbiz: "I don’t think so. I came back a Christmas special ages ago, I came back as the ghost of Christmas past, I don’t know why, I wasn’t even dead! But Jambo came back for Tony.

"We’ve spoken about it but I can’t, I’ve got so much stuff on and I just couldn’t make it work. I won’t be going back, Jambo won’t be returning.

"I mean, you never know, you can never say never. I could pop back for a couple of episodes, but I just don’t know. All I can say is there’s nothing in the near distant future about me going back."

At the moment, Will doesn't know where his career will take him next.

But the actor - who played Gaz Wilkinson in 'Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps' - isn't worried about the lack of certainty.

He explained: "I get excited by not knowing what’s next, that’s why I like the job I’m in - you never know what’s round the corner.

"You can wake up one day and the phone rings but also it can be terrifying because if the phone doesn’t ring, then you think, ‘When will the phone ring?’

"You’re always on the verge of tipping over, for someone like me it can be scary but that’s what I live for, I live for being on the edge."

Will is currently supporting the 'Here's to the Pub' campaign, which is encouraging British people to get out and support their local boozers, many of which have been badly affected by the enforced closures imposed on them by the government earlier this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Here’s to the Pub campaign is offering a free drink per week to customers throughout October and Will got behind the scheme because he realises that pubs are crucial to local communities.

Go to Great-british-pubs.co.uk/campaign/heres-to-the-pub/ to find out how you can support your local pub and where you can claim your free drink throughout October.
