The 'Coronation Street' newcomer's pal Ralf Little has joked his friend - who will appear in the ITV soap for the first time next month as drug lord Harvey - has turned into street artist Banksy when it comes to tending to his outgoing tresses.

Speaking on their podcast 'Two Pints with Will & Ralf', Ralf said: "Will’s getting a bit of a sunroof appearing.

"He spray-painted the top of his f****** head! He’s like Banksy on the top of his head is Will."

Will insisted spray painting his bonce has given him an "extra bounce" in the mornings, and he will continue to do so because he doesn't want to undergo a hair transplant.

He said: "I’m not there yet, I’m going to cling onto this spray for a bit longer.

"F***** don’t knock it, a bit of the old psst [spray noise] before you get out in the morning, it gives you an extra bounce in your step.

"I think I’ll stick with the spray for now."

Will recently admitted he was "honoured" to have signed up for 'Corrie', and revealed Harvey is the first "out and out baddie" he has ever portrayed.

He added: "I’m honoured to be asked to come into 'Coronation Street', it’s such an iconic show and has been a huge part of my family life.

"When I started acting 32 years ago it was my mum’s dream for me to be in Corrie so I’m happy to finally be able to make it come true.

"It’s a Manchester institution and as a Manchester actor this is definitely a box ticked.

"Harvey is the first out and out baddie I’ve ever played.

"It’s a very different type of role for me so I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into the character and making some waves."
