The Bucks Fizz singer is speculated to be on the line-up for the forthcoming series later this year but she's adamant the rumours aren't true because bosses of the Ballroom and Latin show don't want her.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I've heard a rumour that I've been doing [training] for 'Strictly...' but the truth is no one has asked me. I get put up for it every year and they've always said no."

But even if producers did decide to give the 62-year-old presenter a chance this time around, she has admitted she won't be able to commit to it this year because she's busy with her "full on" tour.

She explained: "It's going to be a mad time - the gigs are full on."

Meanwhile, this year's line-up is being kept tightly under wraps for the time being but it's believed singer Anastacia, presenter Laura Whitmore and legal expert Judge Rinder are on the hit list.

And bosses have promised the forthcoming series will be better than ever as its head judge Len Goodman's last time sitting on the panel.

Louise Rainbow, Executive Producer of 'Strictly Come Dancing' said recently: "Whilst we will be sad to say goodbye to Len, as our way of saying thank you, we are all determined to make this series the most spectacular and most glittery."

The 72-year-old professional dancer - who has been on the panel for 12 years - mover announced earlier this month he will be handing over the reins to someone else before he's chucked off for being boring.

He said: "At the end of the day I have been doing it for 12 years and I wanted to get out before people started saying, 'Get that old boy off.' "
