Darcey Bussell thought Kellie Bright should have won 'Strictly Come Dancing' instead of Jay McGuiness.

The show judge is convinced the 'EastEnders' star, 39, who finished in second place after she was pipped to the post by the former Wanted singer, was more deserving of the Glitterball Trophy because her performance was flawless.

Asked if Kellie should have come out on top, Darcey said: "Definitely - without fail. Her performance brought everything together. There wasn't a mistake. It was on the money. She had more energy than anybody. She gave everything."

And Darcey wasn't the only judge who thought the blonde beauty should have won the 2015 title as tough-talking Craig Revel Horwood also agreed she was the best dancer.

He told The Sun newspaper: "She turned in the most spectacular two performances."

However, Craig, 50, believes Jay, 25, probably secured his win back in October when him and his professional partner Aliona Vilani, 31, dazzled with their Pulp Fiction jive.

He added: "It's not the best dancer that wins, it's whoever changes the lives of people at home."

Meanwhile, Jay, who finished bottom of the leaderboard after the judges dished out their points, feels his win was down to sheer "luck" and is thrilled the viewers chose him.

He explained: "I think like anything in life you can work as hard as you can but you always need an element of luck. This just means in my head 'oh people enjoyed it as well'. So I feel happy and lucky and popular."
