Not many people were expected the former Inbetweeners star to do it, but Emily Atack has jumped right to the top position when it comes to betting, and is now the favourite to win this series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, with odds of 3/1. She leapfrogged almost the entire cast to do so, finding herself towards the lower end of the pile before the premiere aired on ITV last night (November 18), but now it looks like she has a real shot of being crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Still, we must remember that we've got three weeks of trials and tribulations to look forward to where absolutely anything can happen, and it's early days! In years gone by, favourites such as Joey Essex have been sent packing before their time despite looking like a shoe-in for victory, so who knows what's going to take place over the next 21 days?
John Barrowman's "FABULOUS!" display sees him settled as second favourite, with odds of 11/2 to win the whole thing, whilst Anne Hegerty is chasing the top two with odds of 6/1 to win, following her emotional outburst during her first night in the jungle.
Strangely, our three soap stars this year are at the bottom of the pile. Former EastEnders actress Rita Simons is just 16/1 to win, whilst Hollyoaks' own Malique Thompson-Dwyer is 20/1. Corrie star Sair Khan has had the biggest change of odds however, going from a favourite before the premiere to dead last, at 28/1.
How all of this shakes out remains to be seen, but those who have a bit of cash spare could make a nice profit if they think one of the three soap actors has what it takes to eventually go all the way!
