The royal biographer has confessed she contacted the police in Australia after the former 'Dragons' Den' star allegedly assaulted both her and her son Dima following their numerous spats in the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' jungle.

She wrote on Twitter: "Thanks 4 supporting Dima and me when Duncan physically assaulted me on TV and him at the base camp. Police came but haven't pressed charges."

The 66-year-old's comment came after viewers claimed they saw Duncan shove Lady C on spin-off show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! NOW!'

He is also said to have pushed her son Dima after Vicky Pattison was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nobody saw it happen and just heard Dima yelling about it. But then it kicked off. The pair had a verbal stand-off and were shouting all sorts of things at each other."

Lady C is believed to have waited 18 hours for her 22-year-old son to get home from the show's wrap party at 2am before she alerted Queensland Police.

And while officers went to the car park of the Versace Hotel - where the celebrities and their family and friends stay after the show - they say they have no record of any allegations of assault.

Meanwhile, Duncan has claimed he had no idea he'd "barged" into his nemesis until he read about it on Twitter.

A source added: "He is trying to keep a dignified silence when it comes to Lady C."
