This week saw Charlie and Hayley kicked out of the Love Island villa, as the pair were deemed least compatible not only by their fellow Islanders, but the viewing public. Voting came down to Charlie and Hayley, and Alex and Samira, and the latter two contestants were saved.

Now, Charlie and Hayley have opened up about their time in the villa, and it would seem the pair should never have been coupled up in the first place!

Asked if anybody was playing a game in the villa, Charlie responded: “Hayley but she is out of the villa now. I wouldn’t say any of the boys are playing a game, they are playing the Love Island game, you’ve got to find someone you are compatible with to stay on the show but I wouldn’t say anyone was playing a game in there. Maybe Adam and Eyal could have their heads turned but that’s not playing a game, that’s just being attracted to people.”

When it comes to genuine feelings, Charlie thinks that Jack and Dani are the perfect couple, and could even be engaged by this time next year. “I think they are made for each other to be fair,” he adds.

Hayley meanwhile thinks Dani and Jack could win the series this year, unless Laura and Wes pip them to the post.

When it comes to playing games, Hayley says: “I do feel like right now it is early days so people obviously want to stay in to find someone if they haven’t yet. Some people might be using people as a safety net for the time being.”

Asked if she’ll see Charlie again, she says she’ll see him at the wrap party, but this is the end of the two when it comes to being coupled up.

As for being kicked out of the villa, she says: “It’s obviously not nice being the first couple dumped from the Island but to be honest, I feel okay because I know it’s not the end of the journey. I’m excited to see what’s going to come.”

Love Island continues on ITV2.
