The former 'The Voice UK' coach is considering jumping ship to the ITV talent show and is keen to work with the former Pussycat Dolls star - who he met while working on 'Bring The Noise' - when she returns to the panel and is planning on texting her to suggest it.

He said: "I'd do judges houses with Nicole. And if Simon would have Kaiser Chiefs on 'The X Factor' performing, I'd love that.

"Everyone thinks there's rivalry, but when it comes round to 'X Factor', I watch on a Saturday night. I've been to sit in the audience because it's fun."

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Kaiser Chiefs frontman admits he will be "jealous" of whoever replaces him on 'The Voice' when it moves from the BBC to ITV later this year.

He told Square Eyes magazine: "Whoever is in that chair I'm going be jealous of because I know how much fun it is."

Meanwhile, Ricky joked that he will be watching the new series "through gritted teeth".

He told BANG Showbiz: "I'll watch it through gritted teeth. It's funny because I'm quite excited about it because I do really like the show and I think it's a great way of finding talent whether they go on to do big things or not but he teaches them a lot and it taught me a lot."

The hunky rocker wouldn't be the first 'The Voice' judge to move to rival show 'The X Factor'.

Rita Ora was poached by 55-year-old music mogul Simon Cowell in 2015, however, she quit after just one season.

The 'RIP' hitmaker left the show in limbo leaving not long after former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw stepped down.

Nicole, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are all confirmed to return to 'The X Factor' with head judge Simon.

'The Voice' moves to ITV later this and 'The X Factor' kicks off next month.
