With the X Factor final creeping up on us and the winner of this year's series set to be crowned on Sunday (December 2), we've taken a final look at who's looking most likely to walk away with a whole new career and the chance of world domination.

Dalton Harris remains the firm favourite with odds of 2/9 at Bet365, with the Louis Tomlinson-mentored act having sat at the top of the table since the second week of live shows.

His toughest competition looks to be coming from Liverpool's Anthony Russell - also under the wing of judge Louis Tomlinson - who is 5/1 to pull off a shocker and do his home city proud.

Simon Cowell's final act, Scarlett Lee looks to be the outsider after ending up in the bottom two in this past weekend's live shows. She has odds of 9/1 to do what seems impossible, but when the talent is this tight and the troops have been rallied, anything can happen.

What we must remember is that acts like James Arthur also found themselves in the bottom during their respective years, but went on to win the show. Who's to say Scarlett won't do the same?

The fact that Louis Tomlinson's mega fanbase will also be split between voting for Dalton or Anthony may also play a huge factor in proceedings, and could see Scarlett romp to victory.

If you fancy a flutter and can spare losing a few quid, the best chance of making a nice profit is to pray for this scenario and get behind Scarlett.

Betting on Bet365 for The X Factor closes on Saturday, December 1 at 7.30pm, but is expected to reopen once the third place finalist has been revealed on the same night.
