Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day

Comic Relief airs again tonight and we’ve looked ahead on tonight’s schedule and found the segments that have gotten us the most excited and are bound to get us to open our wallets, donate and be able to watch them in good conscience that we’ve done our bit.

Jessie J Shaving Her Head

We can’t believe that she’s actually going ahead with it, as we wouldn’t be parted with a head of hair like hers even for this most worthy of occasions. But, even though we’ll be viewing through our fingers as her lovely locks hit the floor, it’s one of the centrepieces of the evening for sure.

Fresh Meat Does Comic Relief

Fresh Meat has become one of the best comedies out there over the last two years, so the idea of Jack Whitehall and co going up and down the country trying all sorts of odd challenges thrown at them by the student populous already has us grinning.

Rowan Atkinson As The Arch Bishop

Rowan Atkinson is back donning the colours of the clergy, this time set to deliver a speech to the world as the Arch Bishop Of Canterbury written and directed by the brilliant Richard Curtis. Rowan alone is worth tuning in for, but seeing him and Richard Curtis combine once again sounds a brilliant combination.

David Walliams and Simon Cowell

We can’t wait to see how the two spark against each other on the panel of Britain’s Got Talent, but this just sounds like something not to be missed at all. It’s rare enough to see Simon let his hair down (not literally, that hair’s not 80% Just For Men as it is) but to see him and David prove that opposites really do attract should be comedy gold.

Lenny Henry

Nothing says Comic Relief like seeing our favourite Dudley born comedian, and the occasion always brings the absolute best out in him, with his two and a half hours always filled with an incredible energy and enthusiasm that just makes him the perfect host for Red Nose Day’s opening shift.

The Vicar Returns

The Vicar Of Dibley still easily ranks as one of the finest sitcoms to have aired on British TV over the last few decades, so singing Dawn French put the collar on once again is something we can all get behind. Not only that, but this time we’ve got the utterly brilliant Damian Lewis involved as well. Can this get any better?
