NOTE: Spoilers

Whilst it was made clear in this week's episode of Revenge that Emily may not always have the best judgement right from the get-go, and Victoria is upping the stakes in the very dangerous game they continue to play, nothing substantial really seemed to happen in the 39 minutes we saw.

Using her single status to try and figure out secrets from the past, Emily is reminded that her love for Aiden isn't something that should just be easily forgotten, and she's persuaded to seek him out to ask him for another chance.

Stevie's secret is out and all over the tabloids, but her relationship with her son Jack and grandson Karl continues to go from strength to strength, as does Pascal and Victoria's despite her insistance that she cannot be bought. Deeds to Grayson Manor prove to be more powerful than her will power.

It was nice to finally see Charlotte's love life reignited with Nolan's ex-con friend and new roommate Javier, even though she's instantly become unlikeable once more after agreeing to team up with her deplorable brother Daniel to go after some of Emily's closest friends - on the condition Jack is left out of things.

Daniel agrees but seems to forget everything when he realises he needs to manipulate Margaux, and so forces a wedge between the happy couple which raises her hackles and causes a hint of jealousy.

The charity event put on by Emily looked fantastic, and the sets provided continue to impress. It's just a shame that 17 episodes in, we've hit a minor bump in the road.

With Aiden back on the scene however and willing to help Emily and Nolan with a brand new plan, things should pick up once more next week.

Revenge continues at 9pm on Monday, May 5 on E4.
