Danny Dyer would love EastEnders to start making late night specials.

The actor admits he wishes his character - Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter - could swear in the BBC One soap.

He explained to the Daily Mirror: "I'd love to push the boundaries. The show would be perfect if they'd let us do some swearing."

Danny did go on to say however he isn't sure viewers would be able to handle scenes if he started stripping off for the cameras.

"I'd frighten people, the size of me."

EastEnders has previously tried out a teenage-focused spin-off titled EastEnders: E20, airing online between 2010 and 2011.

Hollyoaks have featured in the past annually a week of Hollyoaks Later episodes to allow for edgier storylines, stronger language and sexual content.

Meanwhile, Dominic Treadwell-Collins has already teased what is in store for Mick Carter going forward.

Speaking to the Daily Star he said: "Mick has a temper. He will find out, there's no doubt about that.

"This is going to be the start of what is going to be a very epic story for the Carters."
