Cain Dingle's descent into darkness continues this month on Emmerdale, when he forces his wife Moira up against a fridge after losing it in their home.

Shocking pictures released today by ITV reveal an enraged Cain attacking his partner, after his daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) discovers that both Moira and Graham Foster knew about what they all believe was Cain's fatal punch to Joe Tate.

Of course, audiences have known that it was in fact Graham who seemed to put the final nail in Joe's coffin, after discovering the young Tate family member was in fact still alive following his tussle with Cain.

Debbie has been searching for the truth surrounding Joe's fate for months now, and so in the hopes that she will be allowed some closure, Cain tells him his version of the truth; that he killed Joe accidentally in a fight.

This leaves Debbie disgusted and unforgiving, pushing Cain to explode when it's just himself and Moira at home. Will he lose his wife as well as his daughter following his actions? And just when will the truth surrounding Graham's role in Joe's death be revealed, if at all?

Speaking during a recent press day, actor Jeff Hordley (who plays Cain) says of the upcoming scenes: "Moira tries to comfort Cain but he says this is her fault, she's made it worse and he has this absolute fit and trashes the kitchen. In that moment of trying to pick something up she goes for him and he instinctively pushes her against the fridge.

"It's not intentional, it's more like 'leave me alone!' Natalie J Robb was brilliant in the scene and let me throw her round. She's always up for making it as real as possible. It was safe and nobody was hurt!"
