A brand new trailer promoting Channel 4 and E4 soap Hollyoaks has this week been revealed, teasing some shocking upcoming scenes that may see fan-favourite character Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) kill his former partner Amy (Ashley Slanina Davis).

The pair have always had a volatile relationship, living together as boyfriend and girlfriend when teenagers, with Ste beating Amy on more than one occasion. With all of that in the past however, they now put their all into co-parenting and being best friends, but that could all be about to change.

As Amy prepares to walk down the aisle with Ryan Knight (Duncan James), Ste gives his blessing to his former love despite never seeing eye-to-eye with Ryan since his debut in the village. When the residents of Hollyoaks discovered Ryan had cheated on Amy with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) however, everybody was firmly on Team Ste, before Ryan left for Canada. Returning to the show in last night’s episode on E4 (March 22), Ryan asked for one last chance and begged Amy to go ahead with their pre-planned wedding.

That wedding goes ahead in Friday’s First Look episode on E4 (March 24), but what Ste doesn’t know is that Ryan has asked his newly-wedded to move to America with him, taking the children Leah and Lucas along for the life-changing journey.

In the new trailer, we see Amy emotional when she sees Ste with the kids, but then he’s later seen banging on her door and pleading to come in as he “would never hurt her”, only for Mike (Tony Hirst) to reply, “except for when you hit her”. Ordering Ste to “get out” of the flat, flashbacks to the teenage years play as the two push and shove one another in the present. We know Amy will be dying in Hollyoaks, but is this how she’s going to go? Will Ste have something to do with her death?

Hollyoaks continues weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm, with First Look episodes airing weekdays at 7pm on E4.
