Last season on The Flash, the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded and a dark matter created meta-humans - many of whom have wreaked havoc on the city. Meta-humans refer to any human-like being with possess superhuman abilities. To celebrate the release of The Flash: The Complete Second Season, we're recapping some of the remarkable meta-humans, with their various super-human powers, which featured on season 1.

Barry Allen - The Flash

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is a Central City police forensic scientist leading a reasonably happy life. However, this all changes when a massive particle accelerator accident creates a dark matter storm that strikes forensic scientist Barry Allen - bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive. But Barry wasn't the only person who was given extraordinary abilities that night.

Kyle Nimbus - The Mist

Kyle Nimbus (Anthony Carrigan), nicknamed The Mist, was an assassin from the Darbinyan crime family. The night he was supposed to be executed via gas chamber, the S.T.A.R Labs explosion occurred and he gained the ability to transform himself into poisonous gas.

Danton Black - Multiplex / Captain Clone

Captain Clone, also known as Multiplex and Danton Black (Michael Smith) , was a bio-geneticist who specialized in therapeutic cloning He was affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator and gained the power to replicate himself.

Roy Bivolo - Prism

Prism (Paul Anthony), who was later dubbed Rainbow Raider by Caitlin Snow is a meta-human who was affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explosion, leaving him with the power to manipulate people's emotions.

Farooq Gibran - Blackout

Farooq was with his friends at the time of the S.T.A.R Lab explosion and was hanging from a power transformer for a better view when the wave from the Accelerator struck the tower, electrocuting him. Upon waking, he discovered he had inadvertently electrocuted his two friends and killed them as the effect of the Particle Accelerator meant that he had gained the power to harness electrical energy.

Mark Mardon - Weather Wizard

Mark Mardon (Liam McIntyre) AKA Weather Wizard is another who uses his super-human powers for villainous deeds. He was affected by the dark matter wave the same way as his brother, gaining the ability to control the weather.
