The 20th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is going to be completely different to any other that has come before. With the coronavirus pandemic still forcing plans to be adapted and bringing television production to a halt in various areas, the beloved ITV show will for the first time be airing from a castle in Wales.

Despite the change in location however, a whole bunch of famous faces have still signed up to compete, with the hopes of taking home the title of the first ever King or Queen of the Castle in their sights!

One of those stars is author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, who boasts a healthy fanbase of over one million Instagram followers and is one of the early favourites to be crowned ahead of the show’s start this coming weekend (November 15th, 2020).

So for those of you unfamiliar, what do you need to know about Giovanna?

No stranger to the pressures of a working environment, Giovanna has interviewed a whole host of recognisable faces, including the Duchess of Cambridge, for her podcast Happy Mum Happy Baby.

Not just easy to get along with, she's also skilled with paper and pen, with her first novel Billy and Me having been published in 2013. Since that time, Giovanna has had three further fictional books published, as well as a non-fiction text span off from her podcast, called Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures in Motherhood.

Married to Tom Fletcher of McFly fame, she’s a family woman at heart and has admitted that her time on I’m A Celeb will be the longest she’s ever spent apart from her loved ones.

Fellow presenter Emma Willis has predicted her friend will win the series, describing her as an “incredible human being” and “like what you want your mum to be”.

Her husband isn't the only talented singer in the family, as she's also taken on a number of different songs which have been uploaded to YouTube.

Many of those covers were done as a duet with Tom, with Love Is on the Radio in particular striking a chord with audiences; it currently stands at over 2.3 million views and counting on the video-sharing platform!

More recently, Happy Mum Happy Baby: The Virtual Meetup took place across four days in October, inviting celebrity friends such as Frankie Bridge, Izzy Judd and Ferne McCann along to the event to give their own unique talks and takes on parenthood.

Giovanna and Tom also lent their voices to two of the characters in new animated feature Two By Two: Overboard which is out in cinemas across the UK, for you to check out once they’re allowed to open up again.

You can get a glimpse of the movie, as well as Giovanna and Tom’s thoughts, in the clip below:

How will Giovanna Fletcher cope taking part in I’m A Celeb?

Though she will undoubtedly miss her family whilst in Wales, Giovanna describes herself as the one “getting the spiders out of the house” at home, so rather than being jealous, Tom is “very proud and excited”.

She's also been preparing for this opportunity for a long time, whether she knew it in the moment or not.

Giovanna admits that in the past, she's set her own eating trials with vegetables. She explains: "Years ago we started doing a runner bean challenge which is based on I'm A Celebrity. It's where we pretend we are doing an eating trial but actually we are eating our vegetables really fast! “Challenges like this find a way of becoming part of the family dynamic and I can't wait to do this.”

As for phobias? Giovanna revealed ahead of the season debut that heights make her “legs go wobbly and you can’t rationalise it!” Hopefully, she won’t be jumping out of anything hundreds of feet in the sky, or she may struggle!

Though her dream campmates The Queen, Judi Dench and Ant Middleton aren't going into camp this year, we're sure Giovanna will be able to make conversation with all of her fellow cast-mates. We wish her all the luck in the world!

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! begins November 15th on ITV.
