Towards the end of the year, WWE like to put out some big releases for the Christmas push, and this year is no different in the bringing together of their 'best of' Raw and Smackdown collections for 2014, and 'Best PPV Matches 2014' for the 2015 annual.
WWE have here collected some of the most impressive and memorable moments of the 12 months 2014 saw take place, with over 16 hours of matches and action across six discs.
Daniel Bryan fans will be able to see the man wrestle again after a neck injury has seen him out of the business for some time now, and his journey with the 'Yes Movement' is one of the huge gems in this DVD's crown.
There's also the rise of 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar to look back on, as well as Seth Rollins' switch to The Authority and destruction of The Shield - a once deadly trio that he helped form and rise to dominance.
Though there is a slice of action which led to a brilliant Divas rivalry through Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella, we only see the contract signing for the Summerslam match which brought their feud to an end. The PPV disc, though full of corkers, really missed a trick by leaving out that battle - seeing one half of The Authority in the ring was a hugely memorable moment and one we'd like to revisit.
Some interesting moments to look out for are matches such as Goldust & Stardust vs. Rybaxel at Monday Night Raw on June 16, 2014. There's alternate commentary here, with Stardust instead giving HIS take on the match-up.
The same happens with February 14, 2014's edition of SmackDown, where Zeb Colter commentates the #1 Contender's Fatal Four-Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship, with Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston and Mark Henry battling it out in the ring.
It's worth noting that if you already own WWE: The Best of Raw and Smackdown 2014 and WWE: Best PPV Matches 2014, this isn't for you, as this is simply a compilation and putting together of those two sets. For those without those two in their DVD roster however, it's definitely worth a look - especially for the stockings of a WWE fan this festive season.
Big names such as Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and John Cena are all also featured, as well as Paige and AJ Lee from the women's division.
