Following the news that the WWE brand split was very much happening this coming July, we've decided to take a look at some of the top stars in the business and pick our fantasy draft, set to take place on July 11. We've chosen 20 talents, including tag teams as one pick, for each show.

Other thoughts

  • Seth Rollins needs to win back the World Heavyweight Championship he never lost at the next pay-per-view, Money in the Bank. He is the face of the company, he is the future, and the future is now. Reigns can then sulk off to SmackDown and attempt to build his star there.
  • We need a second title belt for the Women's division. It's unfair that the male Superstars get to feud for four different titles whilst the women only have one. That's going to get even trickier when the brand split takes place and unique stories take place on both Raw and SmackDown. A second 'New Era Women's Championship' or perhaps even a Women's Tag Team Championship needs to be created to allow the women on SmackDown (I assume the Women's Championship will remain on Raw) to really shine.
  • We also need a second World Championship for the guys that are drafted over to SmackDown. It's worked well before and so there's every chance the company could do well with introducing a second belt once more.
  • Make the ratings mean something. If you really want live SmackDown to compete with Raw, you need to put big stakes on the line. Maybe the show with the best ratings could see its respective General Manager rewarded, whilst there's punishments in line for the show with the lower ratings? I'm not sure SmackDown will ever get to the level Raw is at, but this would be one way to test the waters with fans.
