Reigns had been found in violation of the company's talent wellness policy, which usually means that the wrestler has been taking a drug on WWE's banned list.

Taking to Twitter to make his own statement, Reigns apologised and took full responsibility for his mistake, writing:

The violation is Reigns' first and comes off the back of a policy implemented by the company over a decade ago in 2006.

WWE are usually seen to keep a 'three strikes and you're out' attitude towards the wellness policy, and this suspension is the third of its kind that WWE have had to issue this year.

April saw the company suspend Adam Rose and Ryan Parmeter for 60 days each for both violating the policy for a second time, with Rose later granted his release after personally requesting it from the company.
