Photographer Clouhgley is Jones' second wife, after Kate Lardner and daughter of Phil Hardberger, the former mayor of San Antonio. The pair were together for fifteen years. They first met when Jones was filming Back Roads in early 1981 and it seems that it was love at first sight as it only took them until May to get hitched!

They have two children together; Austin and Victoria and like father like son, Austin worked on set with his father when he played the part of Jones' son, ironically named Tommy in Yuri Nosenko in 1986.

The couple got divorced in 1996 and Jones went on to marry his third and current wife Dawn Laurel on 19th March 2001.
