Rehearse your exit- Watch out for steep stairs and cars in your path or a graceful goodbye can go out the window.

Check out the venue in advance- If your ceremony is on the beach- make sure it's not at high tide. If there is wildlife- ensure it's friendly. No swimming pools next to the dance area either.

Get someone to watch the kids- For fights, cake licking and bouquet snatching.

Wedding cake is not for eating- It's for smashing up in each other's faces.

Plan the Kiss- So you don't end up smooching on the same side, or losing your head dress/wig. If you partner is incredibly tall- stepladders might help you here.

Practice opening bottles with a cork- Or you could end up ruining all the photographs.

Expect the unexpected- People falling over, bouquet fights and strange lifts. It's a wedding day- who knows what will happen- but love conquers all even if there are a few glitches along the way.
