Every time you top-up a prepay mobile phone at an ATM throughout November, leading banks and mobile phone operators will automatically give a 5 pence donation to BBC Children in Need 2008.

The mobile phone top-up service is available from almost 50,000 ATMs across the country and offers you a quick and convenient way to put credit on your mobile phone. You can also treat your family and friends by topping-up their mobile phones at an ATM. This service is free to use - simply select how much you would like to top-up your prepay mobile, and the money is taken from your account and immediately credited to your mobile phone.

The BBC Children in Need mobile phone top-up initiative is being backed by major banks and leading mobile phone operators, working with payment specialist VocaLink. Together they will provide a new and innovative way of raising money to help the charity.

If you are one of the estimated 23 million women in the UK who regularly use a prepay mobile phone it has never been easier for you to ‘do something different for Pudsey’. Helping BBC Children in Need won’t cost you a penny - the 5p donation is paid on your behalf by the banks and mobile phone operators who support the initiative. So when your next getting cash out of an ATM, top-up your mobile too and help support BBC Children in Need.
