kim asks :

am i awesome?

Our Reply

HI Kim, thanks for getting in touch.

The fact that you have written in asking this perhaps means that you may have questions about your own self-worth. Your self-esteem should not be governed by what others think of you but what you firstly think about yourself. If other people tell you that you are awesome, and you don’t believe it, then you will never reach the same conclusion as them.

Perhaps try some confidence exercises to make you feel better about yourself, such as trying something you have never done before, or meeting people you wouldn’t normally mix with. These situations will force you into doing, saying and thinking things that you wouldn’t normally, thus expanding your experiences and likely making you feel more self-assured.

Many of the people I met who ooze confidence are those who have travelled and interacted with people from every walk of life, they have lost the fear of what other people think about them the more they have put themselves out there. So to sum up, deal with your inward issues first and then you won’t feel the need for other’s approval. Everything else will likely follow.
