Laura asks :

I've been seeing a man for about three months. Last weekend I was out with my girlfriends for our monthly night out. While talking to a man at the bar (he is a friend of a friend but I've not met him before) he suddenly kissed me. I was quite taken by surprise and as soon as I realised what was happening I stopped the situation and left the area. Do I need to fess up to this? I feel so guilty but my friends have been telling me that I shouldn't. Help!!

Yin replies

As long as you can say that while you were talking to him that you weren’t flirting or giving him the wrong signals then you have done nothing wrong. There is nothing wrong with talking to men on a night out. If you didn’t initiate the kiss then the guy has overstepped the mark.

Yang replies

If you don’t tell you boyfriend and he finds out later down the line then this will make you look guilty. If you tell him then you will stop beating yourself up over the issue and clear the air. Honesty is often the best course of action as this could come back to haunt you when you least expect it and make it look worse than it is.
