Christina Milian is suing the producer behind her 2003 hit Dip It Low, claiming he lied about a sample he used for the track.Milian alleges Poli Paul, who wrote the smash, assured her "there were no samples whatsoever" in Dip It Low, but the singer has since spent a fortune in legal costs, defending herself in a plagiarism lawsuit.Thomas Turino, Larry Crook and Dan Dickey sued Milian, claiming a portion of her song was illegally lifted from their 1983 track La Sirena.In legal documents filed in Los Angeles on Thursday - Milian claims Poli Paul looped a 12-second sample of La Sirena into Dip It Low after hearing the track in a record store.Her lawyer, Ed McPherson, wants Paul and his associate, Spencer Cowlings Entertainment, to pay the $300,000 (£150,000) Milian has already spent defending herself in the case, and punitive damages.
