Two monkeys have got married in India.

Villagers gathered in Northern India to attend the wedding of two primates as part of a Hindu ceremony.

The groom, Ramu, and the bride, Ramdulari, were wed in a sacred wedding on Monday (03.11.14) in the Bettiah district in the Bihar state.

Ramdulari was dressed in a traditional orange dress while her husband wore a yellow shirt.

Talking to the BBC, Ramu's owner Udesh Mahto said: ''[Ramu was] like my eldest son. I wanted to marry him off first.''
