Snoop Dogg 'Disappointed' With Australia Ruling.... Rap star Snoop Dogg is "disappointed" about Australia's decision this week (ends27Apr07) to deny him entry into the country.The hip-hop star, real name Calvin Broadus, has been refused entry into Australia where he was expected to co-host the Mtv Australia Video Music Awards in Sydney on Sunday (29Apr07).The country's Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said the rapper's previous criminal convictions in his native America had contributed to their refusal to grant him a visa.Snoop's attorney, Donald Etra says, "We are very disappointed and hope that the minister will reconsider his decision. Snoop loves Australia and Australia loves Snoop. He truly hopes to have the opportunity to perform for his fans."Australia's Mtv network are also hopeful they can get the rapper into the country.Mtv managing director, Dave Sibly says, "We're putting a lot of energy into making a case for how popular Snoop is and the fact he's been here before without incident. We're hopeful that when people tune into Mtv at seven o'clock on Sunday, they'll see Snoop Dogg on the red carpet."
