Lotus Mason

Lotus Mason are due to release their debut album the self titled 'Lotus Mason' after their single 'Rust and Roll' was praised by critics across the UK.

The London based band have been compared to that of Rufus Wainwright, David Bowie and Jim Morrison, and have seen huge success after a year of life changing experiences.

It all began a year ago when guitarist Rhys had emergency surgery for a collapsed ribcage followed by frontman Blair Jollands who became a father. Whilst promoting the album in Blair's native New Zealand the band also experienced the earthquakes that killed many innocent people.

Since then their single was released and they are enjoying success from their album which is filled with a range of dynamic pop rock elements from the 80's, 90's and new indie and dance mixed with their famous stadium sound.

The Sun newspaper has described the band as "A distinctive, tremulous voice that will appeal to fans of Rufus Wainwright and Antony and the Johnsons" and Caroline Sullivan from the Guardian has complimented Blair Jollands, ex frontman of El Hula, as being, "Pure Magic...Smashing!"

The album is due for release on the 6th of June 2011 through GlowB records and is already listed as #5 album of the week in the Kiwi FM chart in New Zealand.
