Gail (Helen Worth) is remaining firm in her conviction to cut all ties with David (Jack P Shepherd) and when he nervously goes to the house to collect his stuff she makes it clear that he's not welcome and must take his belongings and leave immediately. Things become even more uncomfortable when Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and Jason (Ryan Thomas) arrive home from the hospital whilst David's leaving, he offers Sarah a heartfelt apology but she remains cold and Gail is forced to close the door on her son. However, she's clearly struggling to remain indifferent. How long until her hard exterior crumbles? Meanwhile, Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) stuns Becky (Katherine Kelly) when she reveals that she's decided to tell Christian (Andrew Turner) the truth. Whilst Becky urges Hayley to reconsider coming clean, Roy (David Neilson) is still uncomfortable about the situation. Hayley's wracked with indecision as she arrives in the record shop and after she presents a touched Christian with Harold’s crucifix, Christian offers to take her out for a coffee, does she have the nerve to go through with it and reveal her true identity? In the pub, Steve (Simon Gregson) and Michelle (Kym Ryder) have arrived back from Ireland after a great trip, but Liz (Beverley Callard) isn't sure how Steve will react to the news of the wedding date being set and puts off telling him. How will he feel when he finds out?Elsewhere, Carla (Alison King) seems irked when she spots Liam (Rob James-Collier) flirting with Maria, is she jealous?
