A peace concert in Israel set to be conducted by rocker Brain Adams has been cancelled after several security alerts. The Israel concerts, calling for a solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict, were supposed to be held at the same time in Tel Aviv and the West Bank town of Jericho on 18 October (07). On 12th October last week the Jericho performance was called off because of security scares and on Sunday (14Oct07) the Tel Aviv gig was scrapped. "Extremist ideologists have threatened our participants in Jericho, and we felt it is our responsibility not to play with their lives.” Said the organiser, Daniel Lubetzky. He went on to saying "Our mission is not to entertain. It is to mobilize moderate voices. If we have to postpone, we have to postpone."The event was going to be free and the New York-based One Voice campaign is has set a target to gather one million signatures to back an agreement for peace in the Middle Eastern states. The group boasts support from Hollywood stars including Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Danny De Vito.
