As Claire (Julia Haworth) storms into the flat she’s horrified to find Casey (Zoe Henry) holding Freddie (Dylan / Hayden Whitbread) on the edge of the balcony threatening to jump. Ashley (Steven Arnold) whispers to Audrey (Sue Nicholls) to call the police and reveals to Claire that Casey is dangerous, it was she who started the fire and tried to kill her. Petrified about what might happen to her son, Claire tells Ashley to do as Casey says, but is devastated when Ashley's forced to confess to having an affair. Will Claire and Ashley manage to appease the mentally deranged stalker and rescue their son? While Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Jerry (Michael Strake) enjoy their date at the pictures, Jodie's (Samantha Seager) stuck at home minding the kids. However, when Jodie calls Kayleigh (Jessica Barden) after she doesn't come home and hears a slurred voice at the other end of the phone, she's furious, Kayleigh's missed the bus and needs collecting. Seeing Jerry return from his date, Jodie asks if he'll pick her up, but he refuses point blank to ruin his date. Fortunately, Lloyd (Craig Charles) comes to the rescue and picks her up, but is less than pleased when she vomits in the back of his cab! Jerry is fuming when Kaleigh falls out of the taxi and puts an end to his cosy night with Eileen, and Lloyd tells Jodie that she should be out having fun not acting like a middle aged mum. Will Lloyd show her a good time? Elsewhere, Sean (Antony Cotton) and Violet (Jenny Platt) are excited about their first scan and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) annoyed that Paul (Tom Hudson) seems keen for them to move out.
