Wonder Woman Lynda Carter has begged movie producers to cast an unknown as the superheroine in the planned big screen version of the 1970s TV smash. Carter worries filmmakers are spending so long perfecting the film's script, they will overlook the importance of casting a believable Wonder Woman. She says, "I think they should cast an unknown. And I think the problem that they're having is getting the right script and trying to find the right person at the right age. "By the time they get the right script, maybe the person they were thinking about is now ten years older." Carter at first pursued a music career touring with a number of bands up until 1973. She then turned her attention to acting appearing in a number of TV shows including Starsky and Hutch and Cos.But it was in the role of Wonder Woman from 1975 to 1979 that her career really soared. Lynda Carter's series was the third attempt to bing the DC Comic charcter to the small screen.Plans to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen have just been announced and is expected to be released in 2009 no cast members of director has been named.
