Jessie J has plans to move to the United States, it has been revealed.

The hugely successful pop singer is eager to further launch her career Stateside early next year, hoping to tour with Robin Thicke and achieve the 'American Dream'.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I'm probably going to live there [the US] next year.

"At the moment US labels aren't putting out any music but by January I'm hoping to have a single in the US market because I'm on tour with Robin Thicke.

"America is such a big country to break. It's such a different market, you have to be there. I don't like doing anything half-heartedly, so I'd rather wait till I'm in the US."

The 25-year-old singer - who lived in the East Coast briefly when she was 17 - has already decided to house-hunt in New York City rather than Los Angeles because she feels it's similar to her native home.

She explained: "I'd rather live in New York because It's more like London, but it's easier to break in LA as everything is over there.

"I don't have friends out there but I'd make sure I take people with me, give all my friends jobs.

"I was 17 when I first went, that was nearly 10 years ago. I've grown up a lot and realise what you have to do to make it work."
