Whitney Houston's ex-husband isn't happy about their daughter's recent engagement.

Bobby Brown has revealed he does not support Bobbi Kristina Brown's plans to tie the knot with her boyfriend Nick Gordon, who the 'Greatest Love Of All' hitmaker informally adopted when he was 12 and referred to as her "son" until her death in February 2012.

Asked how excited he is about his daughter's upcoming nuptials, the 44-year-old R&B star told gossip website TMZ.com: "I'm not."

He added: "When your daughter gets married, it's different. It's not a question of if I like him (Nick) or not."

Bobby hinted he might be able to resolve his differences with his 20-year-old daughter if Nick reaches out to him.

He said: "When he calls me, I'll figure it out. I just what her to be happy, that's it."

Bobbi, who called off her previous engagement to Nick in November 2012, announced that the couple are engaged on her Facebook page last week, writing: "Yes, me and Nick are engaged. I'm tired of hearing people say, 'Eww you're engaged to your brother' or 'If Whitney was still alive, would we be together or would she approve of this?'

"Let me clear up something, we aren't even real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating."
