Back to: Where Do Human Hair Extensions Really Come From?

by Nick 22 July 2008

Let's not forget nuns. There's a pretty large market for what they call "virgin" hair - i.e. the hair that haircare companies experiment their products on - which has to be pure and untouched by chemicals (on both sides of the root), and that's where the nuns come into play. Since they lead a fairly isolated life and don't see so much pollution, and their food and lifestyle are really healthy, their hair is worth its weight in gold - and that might be an understatement.
