Discover the Smoother, Sweeter Side of Guinness

Beer drinkers are in for a treat, as an exciting innovation from the brewers of Guinness is set to hit pubs and bars across the UK this Autumn, in the form of Guinness Red. Proving that good things don’t just come in black and white, Guinness Red showcases the smoother, sweeter side of Guinness beer.

Guinness Red is made from the same raw ingredients as Guinness Draught - hops, barley, water and Guinness yeast. However, unlike Guinness Draught which uses fully roasted barley, Guinness Red uses lightly roasted barley to create a substantial beer with a distinctive red colour, whilst also revealing the inherent smoother, sweeter flavours, topped off with the famous creamy white head. Served in the same two part pour, to create the surge and settle action, Guinness Red has all the hallmarks of Guinness that fans already love, but now boasts a much smoother flavour and a bittersweet taste.

Developed at the world famous St. James’s Gate brewery, it took the Master Brewer two years to perfect. Now fans of the Guinness brand, that only drink the distinctive tasting stout on occasions such as St Patrick’s Day or at the rugby, have another reason to choose Guinness more often.

Guinness Red will be available in pubs and bars across the country. To find your nearest bar go to www.guinnessblog.co.uk. (At this time Guinness Red will not be available in Northern or Southern Ireland.) RRP will be in line with regular Guinness.
