Music mogul Damon Dash continues to fight for custody of his son.
Dash’s ex-girlfriend, Linda Williams, insists that that the rapper is a bad influence on their 17 year old son, Boogie aka Damon Jr.
A court ordered Williams to hand over her son to Dash in September but was furious after he allegedly took the underage boy to a nightclub on New Year’s Eve to teach him to DJ.
Williams told the New York Post: “A Child should not be in an adult club that serves alcohol. Did anyone even check his ID? His father should stop trying to make a dollar off him and get him back into high school. I’m happy for my son that he is pursuing DJing but not at the expense of school.
The pair are due in court at another custody hearing on the week beginning January 19th. They have been battling for Damon Jr’s custody since 2003.
Not the first time to bring their disputes into the public eye, Williams last April accused Damon of taking Damon Jr to a mortuary in order to identify his uncle, who had committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the head. Furthermore, Williams claimed that her son was living with no hot water or electricity in his room, whilst staying with his dad.
In documents filed at the Family Court of the State of New York, she has also demanded that Dash pay $3,600 for their son to go to the city’s Basketball Camp, and put $10 million into a trust fund for him.
Dash has been unable to comment.
