Parkway Drive
Australia’s top metal/hardcore band Parkway Drive will return to Europe this summer to play several key festivals and club shows across the continent.
The festivals will include Greenfield Festival in Switzerland, Vainstream & Hurricane in Germany, Sonisphere in UK and Italy and Graspop in Belgium among others. More club shows will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
Before they head to Europe for the summer run, the band will be supporting Bring Me The Horizon on their headlining UK tour this Spring, taking place between April 22nd and April 30th. Other bands on the lineup include Brighton rising stars Architects and US metal-core band The Devil Wears Prada.
Parkway Drive’s last headlining European tour was the hugely successful Never Say Die! Tour which took place in the fall of 2010, following the release of their critically acclaimed third studio album ‘Deep Blue’.
The ARIA award winning album was voted the number 1 Metal Album of 2010 by UK’s renowned Classic Rock Magazine.
Next to that, ‘Deep Blue’ ended up in Metal Hammer’s top 10 of best albums of 2010 and according to them, the band have created a record that isn't just a landmark album for themselves, it's a milestone album for modern metal".
Last week, it was announced that Parkway Drive have been nominated for the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, in the best breakthrough act category.
