Millions of Texts Sent at New Year!

A record 214m texts were sent on January 1st.
That's nearly nine million an hour - and almost four for every individual residing in this country.
What's more, it's 29 per cent greater than the 165m texts sent last year, the Mobile Data Association divulged.
A spokesperson is quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper: “As 2007 dawned it seems people checked their phones as intently as their watches.”
