Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss star together in the new Burberry campaign

The images of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne working together for the first time have finally been released, as Burberry get set to launch their newest fragrance.

My Burberry

The unique, bespoke campaign allows audiences to make the My Burberry bottle their own in store, online and across billboards globally and we’ve been waiting for the day ever since Cara Instagrammed a sneak peak picture of them both working together.

Cara Delevingne said about Kate Moss:

“Kate has such a presence and she has a great sense of humor and style. We had met a few times before we worked on the My Burberry shoot together so I knew we would have fun together and that the pictures would be great. I’ve always admired Kate.”

Marking the first time the longstanding Burverry models have appeared together in a campaign, Mario Testino has shot the British icons wearing their Burberry Heritage trench coats – which lends itself to the name of the perfume.

Created by Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, My Burberry takes its name from the affectionate wau in which people refer to their Burberry trench coat.

Inspired by a London garden after the rain, the scent is the ultimate expression of the brand’s past, present and future.

Christopher Bailey said:

“My Burberry is the true embodiment of our brand, in scent, in design and in attitude. A fragrance that takes its lead from the iconic Burberry trench has to be outstanding in every way.”

The glass bottle, based on the same design principles and craftsmanship as the Burberry trench coat, features a hand-tied ribbon knot made from English-woven gabardine honouring the trench coat fabric, and horn-effect cap reminiscent of the buttons.

Francis Kurkdjian, perfumer said:

“We have created a beautifully crafted grand floral unique to Burberry - the perfect accompaniment to the Burberry trench.”

Once again Burberry is paving the way for interaction with consumers with a campaign that allows you to make your own My Burberry bottle by personalising with up to three initials through a monogramming service available on Burberry.com and selected Burberry stores.

There is also going to be an interactive billboard campaign that will allow you to interact with digital billboards at selective sites to personalise and project a giant My Burberry bottle with their initials, through the use of smart phone technology. Plenty more interaction will take place on Twitter, Facebook, in store, Google and on TV too - UK viewers of Channel 4’s on demand service, 4OD, are able to personalise the My Burberry TV campaign, ending the advert with a monogrammed My Burberry bottle with their own initials appearing on screen using innovative technology.
