Tony Blair Offered Fashion Job

Tony Blair was offered a job in fashion by Arcadia boss Philip Green yesterday.

The Prime Minister was on a tour of Greens’ Fashion Retail Academy when Green said:”You could have missed your vocation in life. If you are looking for something new to do afterwards we could help.”

Blair admitted that his wife and their eighteen year old daughter Catherine’ fell about laughing’ when he told them of Green’s offer.

His sense of humour intact he replied:” You would have to start me right at the bottom. I am not known for my fashion sense. When I wore a particular brand of swimming trunks one year, the sales then collapsed.”

Vogue on-line also reported that the Prime Minister was put to the test at the fashion academy when he was asked to choose a pair of women’s shoes to match grey shorts and a woolly jumper.

Choosing a shiny grey pair, he said:” I’m absolutely the worst with this. I haven't learned it before but I will do my best to learn it in the future."
