Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she would like to return to the role of Katniss Everdeen for more Hunger Games movies.

Lawrence enjoyed huge box office success at the end of 2014 with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, and we will see the final instalment of the hit franchise at the end of this year.

Mockingjay - Part 2 with be the fourth and final instalment in the Hunger Games franchise, the series of films that has helped turned Lawrence into a global superstar.

And the actress reveals that she is gutted that the experience has come to an end and she will no longer be working with co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.

Speaking with Eddie Redmayne for Interview magazine, the actress said: "I think we're done with the press tour. I've got, like, one more thing to shoot for Hunger Games. We just have one scene to do for the end

"I'm not happy about it at all. I would totally do [more movies]. And now Liam's doing a movie in Australia for two months. It's the longest that the three of us have ever spent apart."

Mockingjay - Part 1 saw Francis Lawrence return to the director's chair - he took over the franchise with Catching Fire - and the movie went on to gross in excess of $707 million.

Mockingjay - Part 1 finished 2014 as the ninth highest grossing movies of all time behind the likes of Transformers: Age of Extinction, Maleficent and Sawn of the Planet of the Apes.

As for Lawrence, she is set to reunite with director David O.Russell with biopic film Joy, in which she will take on the central role of Joy Mangano. It will be the third collaboration between Lawrence and O. Russell having worked together on Silver Lining Playbook and American Hustle.

Lawrence is also set to return to the role of Mystique in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is due to start filming later this year.
