RunPee

Female First reviews the app that means you’ll never miss the best bits of a film again.

All week we will be reviewing the best mobile apps for Female First readers as part of National App Week - celebrating an industry that British entrepreneurs are considered the world’s best, the app development industry.

Here, Michael Banks of Corporate Group takes us through RunPee.

What does it do?:

RunPee’s a practical app that enables you to select the film you’re watching and be alerted when it’s the best time to take break -whether it’s to pop the kettle on, microwave popcorn, or do as the title suggest - without ever missing crucial parts of the film.

The user’s phone alerts discreetly in a vibration mode, so if you’re at the cinema it won’t irritate anyone by beeping. It also allows you to read what’s happening in the film you’re away from the sceen.

What’s good about it?:

This is a fun, handy little app that ensures that you never miss any of the good bits. It will enhances your cinema experience and allow you schedule your home viewing. The choice of films you can select includes all new releases. There are also film reviews as an added extra.

If you’re unsure when it’s safe to leave after the film without missing any unexpected extras, the app informs you when it’s worth staying in your seat through the credits.

If you’re running late, you can access a synopsis of the first three minutes of the film so you don’t have to disturb the audience asking your friends for an update.

You can post a review of the movie on Facebook without typing and read other RunPee users’ reviews. What’s bad about it?:

It’s not available on the iPod Touch.

Verdict: Fun and practical, RunPee is a great idea for an app.
